Since 1988 we have been providing our San Diego customers with top quality cabinets, furniture and custom woodworking at a fair price. Being a cabinet maker in San Diego, for me, is a dream come true.
Originally from New York, I closed a successful custom cabinet shop and moved here in 1977..I worked for several local shops and in 1980 became part owner in what was, at the time, the second largest production cabinet shop in the area producing 5 kitchens a day.
I was eager to return to custom woodworking and opened a small custom cabinet shop in 1988. After some time I grew tired of all the paperwork (the bane of my existence) and wanted to return to actual woodworking. I closed my shop in Miramar and moved to Pacific Beach where I set up a small 2 man shop. From there I went downtown and in 2000 moved to my present location in Lakeside.
You have to love being a custom cabinet maker in San Diego. Especially out here in Lakeside. I often tell people that it's not the end of the Earth but you can see it from here.
I no longer have a staff of employees but I have several people who I bring in when needed. This keeps my overhead down which saves money for you and headaches for me. I try to give my clients the very best quality and materials while staying within their desired price range.
I hope you will consider me for your next project. I am sure that together we can make your dreams a reality. I look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for your time, JM.

Originally from New York, I have been a high end custom cabinetmaker in San Diego for over 30 yrs.I moved to San Diego in 1977. Since then, I have established a reputation for very high quality workmanship and excellent customer service. From 1979 to 1982 I was part owner of what was at the time the second largest production shop in San Diego putting out 5 kitchens a day. I wanted to get back to doing custom work so I opened a 6000 sf shop downtown. It became too much to manage so I split with my partner and opened a 3,000 sf shop in Miramar. I was doing well but after a number of years of nothing but paperwork I wanted to build things again. It was the reason I got into this business to begin with. All desk and no sawdust makes John a dull boy. I now have a smaller 1,000 sf. shop but I can still handle fairly large projects. I have an excellent grasp of both form and function with an eye for detail and a talent for simplifying complicated assemblies I am something of a perfectionist when it comes to wood. Some say I'm too picky. I disagree.
